While the Menshevik White Guards did fight with the British and the monarchists and other imperialists against the Russian workers' soviet republic, they were not the most consistent or effective anti-Bolshevik socialists. If you want to be a consistent anti-Bolshevik socialist, you ought to consider supporting Hitler's National Socialists.

Turn off your computer, leave your house and do something that makes you happy. Then, post something funny on your Facebook so you get lots of attention. Only then, come back and resume posting.

The Mensheviks are more orthodox.

Still, the most effective anti-Bolshevik socialists were by the end the Bolsheviks. If they could set up a state ruled by Gorbachev which then collapsed, why would others need to bother? In any case, while the Bolsheviks were officially planning to govern capitalism and implement it further, someone had to take charge of the movement against it.

You are correct about the legacy of the Mensheviks, but they might have done so because they did not consider the Bolsheviks a likely force to bring about socialism. They instead helped bring about at the least an embattled state with a siege mentality as against Western capitalism, which was fairly paranoid because 'socialists' could seemingly side with anyone. So if that was the aim.

It seems slightly problematic to side with the Mensheviks because you disapprove of the Bolsheviks' direction, which was obviously influenced more by an early civil war than by their slogans.
