Mohammed Qraiqea is a 15 year old self-taught artist from Gaza. He is currently touring the U.S. to share his #FreeBird Campaign, an effort to highlight the lack of educational resources in Gaza for budding yet super talented artists like himself. Through #FreeBird, Mohammed is sharing his talents with the world -- and raising funds to support receiving formal art training to continue his passion for visual expression of everyday life!

On Saturday, October 1st, from 5 to 8 PM, 15 year old Mohammed Qraiqea, a self-taught artist visiting from Gaza, will be showcasing his amazing work at the Arab American National Museum in Dearborn, Michigan.

After witnessing 3 destructive wars in Shuga'iya, his Gaza neighborhood, Mohammed expressed what he saw, and felt, on canvas. His art became a source of happiness for the children in his village and this pushed him to expand his work across the Arab region and the world.

Mohammed is on tour here in the U.S., and will be visiting Dearborn and Detroit to share his #FreeBird Campaign, an effort to highlight the lack of educational resources in Gaza for budding, yet super talented, artists like himself. Through #FreeBird, Mohammed is sharing his talents with the world -- and raising funds to support formal art training to continue his passion for the work, a visual expression of everyday life in a war-torn and economically disadvantaged community!
