What happened with Revleft? This place used to be buzzing, but since I last checked an exodus seems to have taken place. Was there some kind of issue, or is it just withering away now social media are playing a more prominent role in online activism?

Is it just me or it hasn't been as active since the board update? Due to it only admins could post for a while, anyone got stats on that?
It's not that we lack topics of discussion either with all that is going on; and many new posts go almost unanswered. There's of course the fact that people might be more occupied and unfortunately posting on Revleft for many it is not and cannot be on their top priorities because a lot might be happening in their lives and don't have the time.

Also: While this current stagnation should be overcome, I gotta say that this forum at least has come a long way and standards of discussion are much higher, some other boards might be more active but I don't see the benefit if it has to be due to sectarian shitstorms and one line posts. There's always been good posters, don't get me wrong, but look at much much older threads and take a shot every time someone unjustifiably throws around "trotskyite", "authoritarian", "imperialist"...; this site used to have "Jucheists" (or someone pretending to be) for fuck sake.

Something seems to have changed, whether arguments are devolving into tankies vs tankies I don't know, although I'm not sure it won't change back.

Mass bans and people using forums less in favor of social media

That's a shame. Facebook is typically not conducive to serious discussion.

I've known of this site for years but have only recently signed up and become an active poster. Hopefully more new-comers such as myself can tip the scales and make this forum more active in general. The closest I've come to a good forum is reddit's r/socialism, but I've always found the community there a bit lacking.
