What do people think about the feasibility of a political migration similar to the 'Free State Project' with Socialist characteristics/people with similar goals in relation to economics and policy? Clearly strength in numbers isn't just a useless catch-phrase and surely people on the left should be taking advantage of the internet for networking and potentially migrating the same way Libertarians already have in New Hampshire, no?
Maybe Vermont is a viable candidate?
I think its pretty cool idea for immediate direct action. Invade a small state with a mass of new people who follow a particular ideology.
However It would not work for us in america. Regardless how you vote you cant vote away Capitalism in such a authoritarian state such as America.
That being said the Free State Project is libertarian. While I am sure Most of them are Laissez Faire Libertarians or Anarco-Capitalists; their is an Anarchist theory that Capitalism NEEDS a state to survive and that any sufficiently libertarian society will
Weaken Capitalism. If you are on the libertarian-left (Anarchism, Anarco-anything, Counsel Communist, Democratic Socialist, Syndicalist and so on) you could consider moving to New Hampshire and take advantage of the unity of the libertarian movement there.
