In the Spirit of Orlando: Fight Back for LGBTQ Rights!

4 PM Saturday June 25 at Action Center in the Brewery Complex 286 Amory St. Jamaica Plain (near Stonybrook on Orange line)

STOP ANTI-TRANS VIOLENCE!

STOP RACISM & LGBTQ OPPRESSIO N!

STOP MUSLIM & IMMIGRANT BASHING!

SAY NO TO TRUMP’S BIGOTRY

The Boston branch of WWP invites everyone to this special forum in celebration of Pride to discuss what is behind the Orlando atrocity. June is Pride Month and more than ever lets organize and fight back.

Join us as we celebrate the fightback courage and resistance of the LGBQT community in the wake of Orlando atrocity.

We will discuss the 2016 elections and ask the question: what does a Clinton, Sanders or Trump election mean for the LGBTQ community and all workers?

We will meet on June 25 to:

• Honor the 49 LGBTQ and straight people who died in Orlando. We will refuse to let our pain be used for Islamophobia

• Honor the lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, genderqueer and non-binary people who resist racism and poverty, state legislative violence and police brutality

• Honor the queer and gender-nonconforming founders and leaders in the Black Lives Matter movement, including Jasmine Abdullah Richards, targeted by Pasadena police and convicted of a trumped-up felony charge for helping someone harassed by the cops.

• Honor the queer and trans people of color leading the effort to overturn the bigoted HB2 legislation in North Carolina —who are marching, sitting in, disrupting, who are leading an LGBTQ rebellion that chants along with Assata Shakur, “It is our duty to fight for our freedom. It is our duty to win. We must love each other and support each other. We have nothing to lose but our chains.”
