On the 200 year anniversary of the Haitian revolution, transnational companies and large landowners operating in Haiti, are atempting to overthrow elected President
Jean Bertrand Aristide, and a moderate program of reform and wealth distribution.
The United States, who occupied the country for nearly 30 years this century, who sponsored and supported the brutal Duvalier dictatorship, are now talking about military intervention to protect the companies exploiting workers to make clothes and shoes.
