View Full Version : Castro's Speech

1984-2004

What I read in a small local spanish paper was quite amazing. Ole' Fidel still has some spunk in him. At the Economic conference Fidel went on to speak of Cuba's success despite the U.S. Emabargo. He also mock how Bush couldn't debate a ninth grade Cuban. He aslo went on to speak about Bush's schoomzing of Cuban Exiles in sout Florida for votes. Fidel said that if Bush planned something drastic to get those votes he would "die fighting". He went on to say "I don't care how I die, but for sure, if they (US.) invade, I'll die fighting". Even Cuba's foreign minister, Felipe Perez Roque, that if the U.S. invades that Cuba would be waiting "with a nasty surprise.

It's good to see that even with age Cuba still has the Fidel that liberated them from Yanqui Imperialism.

Now the question comes up. If the US invade would Cuba become our generations Spanish Civil War? Would the Workers of the World unite to defend Cuba's independence.

Hmmm, I think it is quite possible that communists, socialists and other leftists would go to help defend Cuba's soverignty and independance. Mainly from other areas of Latin America.

I'm not sure that it would become another Spanish civil war, but I think it is safe to say that the protests over the invasion of Cuba would be twice as large as we have seen over the Iraq conflict.

Possible invasion on Cuba?
That's why I am learning Spanish....

Anyway, the chance is low, Bush will be kicked out of the government in the coming election.

But, anyone knows J.Kerry's political stand towards Cuba?

Rep. Dennis Kucinich: "I strongly favor ending the embargo on Cuba. Our policy toward Cuba has created misery for the Cuban people and has harmed our own national interests. My administration will work to normalize relations with Cuba. This will include normal bilateral trade with Cuba."

Only Mr Kucinich has any sense on this matter in my oppinion. Fuck the rest of those bastards with their puppet strings in the hands of the exiles.

Kucinich is the only candidate worth electing. All the others seem like third rate versions of Bush.

By the way, check this out.

Looks like the exiles are making their own little plans for Cuba.
