I took some photos of pictures that I drew a while back. There was either too much lighting or not enough lighting, lol. So these look kinda orange, sorry :unsure:

but here you go, the first one is of stalin, no I'm not a stalinist, I just went through a phase when I thought that Stalin was a "sexy beast" :lol:

the last pic was just a quick sketch I did, I should've used different types of pencils, but I hadn't done that before so I didn't even think of it, but the Stalin is the first picture that I've ever put decent effort into, lol. :unsure: And, YES, I know his eyebrows are fucked up, but they were funny in the picture I had of him, so I'm not sure which brow I should change yet, we'll see....

These are literally the first pictures I've drawn since I was 12 years old, don't go too hard on me, lol, I'm rusty :ph34r:

I figure that RAF ought to pledge me his love over this :D

I've been thinking that I might go for some art classes, or a minor or something. I suppose it wouldn't really be that useful "in the real world" and I'd get a lot of flack from family, but hey, whatever makes me happy :P :)

Those are really very good!

I love Engel's nose.
The hair and beards are also mangnificent!
Vey realistic!
The shading is also very good!

But I supose a critique wouldn't be complete without a suggestion.
So perhaps you can try a bit more wrinkles.
Don't get me wrong, the faces look very real and you shade very well where it is needed.
It's jsut taht they might could use some age lines, eh?

I know, I agree with the eyes thing. I didn't notice it until I posted the pictures, I might go back and fix it, actually I probably should fix it. I t was really bugging me, I was hoping no one would notice :P

*edit: HO FUCK YEAH! I just found a copy of the "inspiration picture" and I fucked his left eye up big time. I'm going to fix it right away, guess who's embarassed (me, lol). btw, you can't really tell this but I gave him webbed feet :P

But also, the resolution of the photo's isn't the same as the pics

but yeah, stalin looks too "fresh" I don't know how else to discribe it. and I added wrinkles but then I covered them over and forgot to put them back, they aren't dark enough, I'll fix it up. :)

I'm not really good with details like that unfortunately. Fine lines, and wrinkles, i just can't get them right, you can't "draw" a wrinkle, you have to "shade" a wrinkle, if that makes sense, and I really suck at it but I'll give it my best try and post the results as soon as I can :)

I think I'm going to fix Stalin up later today, make him look better, it shouldn't take long but my roommate has the camera and he's away for his friend's b-day party out of town this weekend. :

But I'll fix it and post it soon :)

I can only get in trouble for using another photo if I sell my own and call it "original", and I'm not selling it nor do I claim I made it up, so I don't have to worry about getting sued or sometihng like that. :P

Yes Stalin was an atrocious leader, however what Felicia really said was that she drew the picture back when she thought Stalin was a &#39;sexy beast&#39;. Nowhere was there an admiration of Stalin as a leader.
