What are some really good animes for me to watch?
Recently I've seen Tokyo Ghoul, Dimension W, Parasyte, and I've pretty much am trying to find another anime to watch.
Any of you guys know?

The first season of Psycho Pass is good + like Tokyo Ghoul, Ling Tosite Sigure does the intro theme so there's that. Netflix has Knights of Sidonia which is also pretty interesting. And recently I just re-watched every episode of Rurouni Kenshin so I'll recommend that.

I know many (http://myanimelist.net/animelist/AnoniMus?status=7&order=4&order2=0). I haven't watched as many recently since I either lost interest or they are becoming worse, but currently it's airing boku dake ga inai machi which most people consider it excellent.
I dropped Tokyo Ghoul midway and I hear 2nd season is worse, but I'd recommend Shiki which is about vampires and in my opinion does it better, it feels like you're reading a book, I don't like the character design, but the rest is pretty neat.

I LOVE all of the cyberpunk anime from the 90s. Stuff like Armitage III, Ghost in the Shell, Bubblegum Crisis, Dominion Tank Police, Neon Genesis Evangelion etc.
I also have a soft spot for Kill La Kill, simply because of how shamelessly batshit loony it is.
But my absolute supreme fav anime of all time is Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Epic, novelistic space opera filled with space battles, political intrigue and philosophizing.

My taste in anime is pretty questionable tbh but one thing I would unashamedly recommend is Revolutionary Girl Utena, if you've not seen it. The series starts a bit slowly but it's really worth sticking with.

Arslan Senki? Lol...
I used to watch a lot of anime in highschool when I had a girlfriend into it and when I was starting to study the language myself, now I'm too busy to really follow it, but I can recommend some "good anime"(still subjectively ofc, nowadays even saying fall 2006-spring 07 was the best year for anime is controversial) from different genres. I second the Shiki recommendation, was really surprised by the quality of it, I had thought all vamp anime was shit. Otherwise, I guess I'll just give my top 3 for several genres I watched...
Action: (I'm assuming this is your fav, not really mine, but here's some good ones I know)
Darker Than Black- Cool fights, good characters, and the story is pretty good though moreso in season 2, but a lot of people hate season 2, which I don't get.
The Fate series- Despite its big fanbase and high ratings, I still know a shit ton of action anime fans haven't seen or even heard it, so maybe you have, maybe you haven't, but it's good. Most fans like the second. season, Fate Zero better. Also they've done remakes of both Stay Night and Zero, so the animation is up to date.(not that it was ever bad or even out of date IMO, they should've just made more seasons).
The Legend of the Legendary Heroes- Cheesy af title, cheesy af anime, but a good anime with good characters.
Comedy:
Daily Lives of Highschool Boys- Hilariously accurate to my geeky highschool life, quality comedy.
Great Teacher Onizuka- Made in '99 and brings back memories of the late 90s, but also very funny, with a pervy but somehow inspiring main character.
Thermae Romae- It's only 3 episodes, just watch it.
Drama:
Ano Hana- I have a strange experience with this one since I kinda went into it with the mindset that the main character was just delusional and the ghost isn't actually meant to be real, but the theme of parted friendships is hits close to home for me and the anime maintained a nice low-key sadness.
Golden Time- This was the first anime I watched after a long hiatus from anime after watching School Days, so I was expecting things to go terribly wrong at any point of the anime, but it's still an engaging drama and unlike every student anime ever, it's set in college not Highschool.
Angel Beats- Sometimes I forget this came out 2010, it feels older and I don't even mean the art style just... idk... a recent classic I guess, but an excellent drama with both deep and lighthearted moments.
Historically-influenced/period anime: (probably another genre you like)
Spice and Wolf- In a medieval setting with a merchant main character and Pagan Wolf Goddess companion, yet far from being cheesy or mainstream at all. Seeing Lawrence and Horo laugh, ruin beautiful and expensive clothes(I loved her early S1 outfit...), eat, drink (a lot), cry, have random theatric romantic moments, travel, argue, crush an over-ambitous little blonde boy's dreams and make money is by far more entertaining than I could ever put into words. If you haven't watched it, watch it right away!
Le Chevalier D'Eon- Set in France under King Louis XV with supernatural elements. I don't remember it all too well, but it was cool and worth the watch.
Sword of the Stranger- A movie set in feudal Japan. Has a nice story and the fight scenes are really good with good animation, I can highly recommend.
I have some more I also liked from other genres, like shoujou, gender-bender, and shoujou-ai. So I'll share if there's interest, but for now I have some things to do so I'll end this post here.

Anohana is shit and I have to say it anytime someone mentions it. Terrible, terrible, terrible, I know it's well rated, but I know better than them.
Now that you mention it, there's a lack of good quality historical anime, such a shame really, who wouldn't want to see Russia revolution in anime ? they think youngsters are only interested in school settings I guess, and they only aim for teens because adults kill themselves working in Japan, they have no time for anime.

Ano Hana and Golden Time I both watched after my haitus after watching School Days, so I kinda when into them very cynically and was expecting them to be terrible with things taking a darker turn. I guess for me the appeal was that one of the characters I could really closely relate to.
I have to agree with the lack of historical-based anime, I was surprised I couldn't think of more and also there isn't any I know that don't have at least some fantasy elements. I was going to put Monster down, but that's barely historical, just has some flashbacks to East Germany the rest is after, it's good and although it feels supernatural, IIRC there's no fantasy at all, only problem(well, for some people its no problem) is that it's like 70+ episodes.
I would love a Russian revolution, WW1, or even a properly-done French revolution, D'Eon doesn't quite cut it or even do it justice. You're probably right that there's just not a market for it, I think even the average "Salary Man" would probably rather watch something like Ano Hana over... say, Code Geass. And for all of Anime's shortcomings, Japanese TV's far worse, no market for realism I guess. Nowadays when someone asks me if I like anime, I just say I like the Miyazaki films, saves me a lot of trouble and of course Miyazaki movies are excellent especially Nausicaa, Mononoke-hime, and Spirited Away.

And Code Geass is fucking realism? That daft, boring mecha shit-show with it's ridiculously daft political backdrop? The whole thing is a dreadful cesspool. A sea of terrible series, most of which are self-referential, filled with drab in-jokes and endless pandering to idiot otaku wankers. Wasn't really any better in the past either, I shall slay your holy grails, because NGE was shit, too, total fucking shit, Gainax sucks, repetitive bland coming-of-age borefests, suckkkkkkkkkks.

I should've specified more, I didn't say that to mean Code Geass is realistic or even applicable to real life. What I was trying to say was drama, supernatural, school anime(though Code Geass, esp season 1 is easily more of a school anime than a reflection of any semblance of real politics), or just any escapism really, appeal more to Japanese fans than things like action, adventure, and these... yes, cheesy attempts(if they even are attempting to be real, I doubt it) at replicating the real world and its politics, even when anime of the latter category is made, it includes crap from other genres too. You're not wrong, go ahead slay what you will, I'm not going to defend such series whether they're from 00's, 90's, or even 80's, heck some anime before I was born do politics more justice. What brought us to watch anime anyway? Most of us probably watched anime before we developed any understanding of politics anyway, let alone formed our leftist stance.

Because it's reactionary bullshit that's why, and to be honest that's very prevalent in a lot of Japanese anime, a boat load of right wing propaganda. But I won't say Tokyo Ghoul doesn't have those qualities since it does. But to be honest, the anime of Tokyo Ghoul was shit so I'd much rather talk about the manga.
Anyway, I've watched Shiki, and I can really appreciate the emotion and sympathy I had for many of the vampires when they were hunted down. It really makes me think about how people can be very erratic in behavior. The villagers who were turned into vampires were the victims, instead, the attention should've been to the vampires who started this catastrophe in the first place.
Another I like is Black Lagoon, that was a load of fun.
I cried at the end of Angel Beats, not even joking.
Boku Dake na Inai Machi was the most disappointing series I've seen in a while. It was very promising, it had very beautiful scenes but was ruined in the end by terrible writing.
