But, seriously, what if those of us who speak English as a first language were given blanket authority to edit everyone's posts and correct instances of confusion between it's/its, bourgeois/bourgeoisie, effect/affect, then/than, to/too, and so on?
Probably every problem on the board boils down to the confusion created by these minor errors.

Good luck getting the admins to accept any kind of responsibility. You'd have more luck getting the Wicked Witch of the West to down a pint of water. Although since what you propose could be easily abused then in all likelihood they probably would go for it.

Pretty much. In fact I think all the tactical and theoretical disputes amongst the left boil down to this confusion. The split between Marxists and Anarchists? Probably the result of some fucker using than instead of then.
