For anyone who may be interested, a friend sent this my way yesterday.

It's a recording of James P. Cannon delivering a speech - more accurately a polemic against the Cochran faction - during a 1953 New York branch meeting of the SWP-US. I spent a good chunk of my time last night nerding out over it. Enjoy.

At nearly two hours long that is a good find.

I thought so as well. Glad you enjoyed it. If you're interested there is another video of Cannon on that channel that's about an hour long. Also saw some recordings of SWP meetings and a recording of Mandel, among others.

Yeah, read Speeches to the Party (1973) from Pathfinder, it's in there under "Some Facts About Party History" p. 92. This is the record of Cannon's belated fight against Pabloism, and it is an indictment of the SWP's later degeneration and reconciliation with Pabloist revisionism.
