For those of you who have seen the Simpsons Ep - When Homer Joins The Navy, they ought to remember when thet show the U.N. and Russia says something then the U.S. says something like "Soviet Union? I thoguht ya'll broke up?" and then the guy from Russia say's "Yes... that's what we wanted you to think.. hahahaha....!" and switches the little sign to say Soviet Union and then you see Moscow in front of that Palcace looking place where I think the Czars used to live or something and the U.S.S.R. flag rolls down during a parade and under which little tank's roll out and so fourth, my question is for what is the song that is being played during that scene???
thnx to anyone who can help.. ;)

The building was the Kremlin and the song was the Soviet National anthem.
Sounds familiar? (http://www.funet.fi/pub/culture/russian/lyrics/political/SovietUnionNationalAnthem_RedArmyChorus.mp3)

No it is not the Soviet National Anthem, and I did look at the website, and the only have this listed
Musical references
+ "Reunited"
- written by Fekaris and Perren was a 1979 hit for the duo Peaches and
Herb. It contained the line "reunited and it feels so good." {th}
+ "Anchors Aweigh"
- the official song of the U.S. Navy, was written by Alfred H. Miles,
Royal Lovell, and Charles A. Zimmerman in 1906. {th}
+ "In The Navy" by the Village People
+ "Eternal Father, Strong to Save" is the Navy hymn. It is also known by
another set of words as "My Hope Is Built on Nothing Less." It was
played at the funeral of John F. Kennedy (among others) and was featured
in the recent film "Titanic."
+ "The Girl from Ipanema" was written by Antonio Carlos Jobim and his
lyricist Vincenino DeMoraes in 1963, and with an English lyric
contributed by Norman Gimbel, it became a major hit in a recording by
instrumentalist Stan Getz and vocalist Astrud Gilberto. There was a
real teenaged girl who inspired the song. DeMoraes saw her walking on
the Ipanema beach in Rio de Janeiro. It was the elevator music in the
sub. {th}
Nothing about the song that I'm looking for.. though I do like that "Ipanema" song... it's got a good melody...
