Dear Friends,

I am new to Leftism, genuine Leftism anyways, and describe myself these days as a 'Non-Doctrinaire Communist', an Orthodox Christian Communist. The closest type of formal doctrinaire Communism I would be nearest to is actually Stalinism.

Let's say I started from a far different political and religious origin than where I find myself today.

I know that many Leftists are Non-Theist and even Atheist in thinking, even militantly so, but to me that is not an obstacle, not at all. I am here primarily to develop my own sense of Communism and it's future, for I know that with Communism we can liberate sick and suffering mankind, the toiling and poor masses who work broken and bleeding for the few Rich. I hope that I am welcome here.

Welcome. Your name, I take it, is a reference to Lossky, or the followers of Solovyov who used the term? In any case, welcome to the site. This might sound rude, but what is your position on women, abortion and homosexuality? The reference to both Stalinism and Orthodox mysticism raises some questions.

Thank you for the warm welcome, and no need really concerning the 'preaching' rule, as my primary interest is technical and political. My faith after all informs and leads my Communist orientation, but beyond that the material considerations are most important for me here.

As for women, I love them, and want to see their genuine liberation, not the liberal ideology of 'Feminism' as such.

On Abortion, it's wrong, and a needless waste of productive human forces. Nonetheless it is also a private matter.

On Homosexuality, the orientation itself has a meaning, but much in the way of a bourgeosie decadence has corrupted the Left regarding this matter; 'Identity Politics', etc...

Dzhar-Dzhar, if we're writing "phonetically". In any case, I'm sorry for belabouring the point, but your answers are vague at best; what we would call "politician's answers". What do you mean by "genuine liberation" as opposed to "Feminism"? Do you support legal, safe and free abortion on demand at any point of the pregnancy? Do you support any laws restricting homosexual behaviour, including laws aimed at "propaganda to minors"?

Please don't be sorry for your reply; I am not in fact attempting to give 'politicians answers', but I am quite new here and I'm still finding my way so to speak. I am in fact opposed to Abortion, and consider it to be a tool of the exploiters of mankind to 'drain the swamp' as one put it, and it still has associations in my mind with racism and eugenicism. I should know; I once was a racist and believed in eugenics.

As far as 'homosexuality' as such, it bears little real relation to Communism, and in fact I make distinctions in my mind between 'homosexuality' and various sexual acts, and condemn the later. Again, I'm not here to preach, I just think that genuine Leftism has nil to do with 'identity politics', a means by which the decadent Capitalists have split and overwhelmed the Left with these sorts of degenerate bourgeosie diversions.

I do have the courage of my convictions; but you will find that I can give perfectly good and purely political Leftist and Communist reasons for them as well.
