I'm a young revolutionary and joined this forum to follow and take part in discussions with fellow comrades & to find out where exactly I fit in politically, as I really can't decide whether I'm an anarcho-communist or a marxist-leninist. I believe in uniting all anarchists, communists and other sorts of revolutionary leftists in order to defeat the monster that capitalism is despite of different ideas of how a revolution should be done. Other than that I'm antifascist and pro refugees.

S/He could be speaking French, Italian or even Romansh, you know ;)

That's true, but I guessed that s/he speaks German since it's the most spoken language in Switzerland. I hope my guess was correct!

Ok, now I'm just showing off.

"J'ai deviné" implies that OP confirmed your guess, which is not the case (yet). ^^

RJZ = Revolutionäre Jugend Zürich, which is some evidence towards the 'German-speaker theory'.

As far as I can tell there are some ancoms in the RJZ, the common denominator being anti-imperialism.

I live in a Romansh/Italian/German speaking part of Switzerland but spend a lot of time in Zürich where I go to RJZ protests as often as I can which is why I listed RJZ.

I can't speak even the slightest bit of French as I decided to take Italian classes at school instead as I could already to speak basic Italian and didn't want to go through the hassle of learning an additional language as I already had 4 languages at school at that point . But most people in Switzerland speak at least basic German as schools here are multi-lingual so your guess was correct

S/He could be speaking French, Italian or even Romansh, you know ;)

French is the only official language in Switzerland I can't speak

Thanks! I spent a lot of time thinking about a good username and ended up choosing this one because I like both Marx and Kropotkin (I haven't read anything by them yet but I like their views and what I read in the summaries of their works)

It might not make too much sense that I'm attracted to both anarcho-communism and and marxism-leninism at first glance, but I feel like both positions have good arguments. I think anarcho-communism would work (like it did in Spain) but it wouldn't be able to defend itself against counterrevolutionaries and other political foces (like it happened in Spain). However, if for some reason the situation would be given for anarcho-communism to exist without it being overthrown I wouldn't see a problem with it. Marxism-leninism is thus my more "realistic" choice, however the establishing of a vanguard party led socialist state could bare the risk that the communist society will never be reached, instead the socialist state will be the "final" state. All of this could be wrong though, as I haven't yet had the time to actually read any books written by communists and all the knowledge I have regarding the subject is taken from youtube videos, internet sites and conversations with my best friend who's a communist.

I might be wrong but from what I've seen/heard there isn't really an ideology all RJZ members share, despite of the RAZ being marxist-leninist. For example there where people chanting "Hoch auf die [I]antinationale Solidarität" instead of internationale Solidarität. However, I'm not very experienced regarding the RJZ and have so far only been to one "meeting".

I assume they meant antinational in an anarchist sense, as in opposing all states/nations. If you're referring to the German anti-german movement I don't think I've ever met someone who supports it. From what I've seen RJZ members/allies are usually anti-capitalist, pro pkk, antifa/anti conservative.

Aargauer :)

Yeah that's why I was wondering, because even if there were any anti-germans / antionationals here they wouldn't be in the RJZ, as they're not really known for tolerating anti-german or similar positions lol.
