I was in french class...trying to figure out a way to not do my homework when this clicked in.

Capitalism relies on the working class to purchase the product of there companies. But, they also want to cut there production cost to make more money. This causes them to buy machinery to replace a man on the assembly line. Unfortunatly, if they keep doing this, eventually the working class while be reduced to nothing. The working class will then not be able to make enough money to buy the useless product capitalism is trying to shove down there throat to make them think they can't live without it...like a fancy car, a big screen Tv and that junk. But without the working class to buy things, the business fall and then all hell breaks loose.

I don't know what to think of it. I know that the downfall of Capitalism will either be by a revolution or by having itself implod. I just want to know what people think about it? If my idea of self implosion is dumb or actually a good possibility?

Flame me if it's been posted or if I'm just a retard for posting this.

the workers may not be producing as many goods. in terms of building products and producing products in plants and factories, The workforce has many sectors which make up the web of our new global economy! ie. information technology, transportation of goods, merchandising of goods, and other corperate, public, and trades people, etc.

The fire of capitalism burns strong with the labour and determination of these workers!

However you are right about the growing loss of industry, however it is being replaced by jobs in merchandising and sales, the future will also see more people unemployed!
as the gaps widen between the workers and the greedy which is always demanding more and more goods and services from the proletariot!

The workers must unite, and relolt! IT will take a tidal wave to douce this Capitalist flame! :o

i'm quite sure it will happen sooner or later. let's just hope the unemployed working class will make a revolution then and that people will replace capitalism with communism ^_^

Hmm...I am a worker, of the lowest class. I fix your cars. I am a small peice of the transportation department. I don't have job security. All I have as 'secure' is the fact that people will always drive and there cars will always break down, no matter how much you don't want them too. That's where I come in the picture. So I was wondering if my idea would finally put me out of work some day...I don't like not working.

But this is only happening in the first world. What the proletariat did previously in Europe and North America is now done in sweatshops across the Empire.out of sight out of mind thats the "free" market at work. Workers are being moved into jobs that form more a part of the managerial technocracy supporting the Imperial ruling class eg finance,IT etc.

I have a simmilar theory.
But think about this: when the machines replace the worker, the need for better machines becomes very important in the capitalist society. So the need for new machines increase. Capitalists will argue that making those machines will make those workers employed again, but the truth is that in that situation people will keep being poor (making machines), and their kids won't be able to go to a university or a good school, thus they will never be part of the elite which invents those machines, and will never have enough qualifications to get a good job.
If this doesn't bring unemployment then it will make the difference between the son of a capitalist and the son of a real worker be more noticeable and obvious, which will create a situation of conflicts.

Ummm nice way of putting it. But quite frankly they will have machines to make better machines. The time of the workers is near an end. Soon we will have to be computer geniuses and that just does not intrigue me. This world sucks ass. Something major needs to happen to show the general population that the world we see and the world it is are two different things...hmmm....

hmm, interesting theory. I've thought about what would happen if we keep building machines/robots to do our jobs but i never came up with a "capitalist self-implosion" theory. Personally after reading that, though, i think there will always be some jobs to do for the proles of the world.
