Dear Chris,
For years, CREDO Action members have worked hard to ensure the low-wage workers at Wal-mart receive better working conditions and better wages. Since 2013, over 600,000 activists have signed petitions to raise wages and fight poor working conditions faced by workers at the nation’s largest retailer.
And Wal-mart has listened. Earlier this year, Wal-mart committed to raising the pay for nearly 500,000 of its hourly workers, nearly 40% of its workforce.
But still, average Wal-mart workers are struggling everyday to put food on the table. Too often, Wal-mart workers have to skip meals, stretch food bank rations until pay day, and sacrifice food for themselves so that their children can eat.
It’s time for us to take action to ensure Wal-mart workers earn enough to not go hungry. This Black Friday, Wal-mart workers and our allies across the country are coming together, after 15 days of fasting and actions, to tell Wal-mart that no worker should go hungry, and demand that workers must earn $15 per hour and have access to full time work.
Rallies will be held across the country on Black Friday to fight for $15 an hour for Wal-mart workers. Help us make history and ensure these workers get a raise so they can feed their families.

Standing up to Wal-mart can be risky for many Wal-mart workers. That’s why we must show up in force at these rallies and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with all the workers so they know that the progressive community has their backs to fight against poverty wages.
We need to send a message loud and clear that Americans across the country support raising workers’ wages to $15 per hour.
