To me, the only successful weapon the Conservatives can use during debates is to use a series of strident, condescend sound bytes that seem pleasant to the ear. What do you think?

The tricks they use in debates are not the tools that they use to hang on to power. Debates create the illusion of consent and democracy, nothing else. The way conservatives stay in power is because they have the entire weight of the state and Capital behind them. They could say nothing and they'd still win. As the old saying goes no matter who wins the election the government always gets in.

I mean isn't that the whole nature of electoral politics?
Don't think it's particularly unique to the tories.

The problem for revolutionaries is that debates in mainstream discourse always uncritically accepts capitalist logic. We can see this not only with the Tories but also with the Labour Party who accepts that what is produced has to be to realise a profit and that which does not realise a profit has to be redundant. What this means is that the majority of workers have also internalised this logic.

As fellow workers, we must come together to get our rights. I strongly support the movement of the workers' party
