Following on from my other thread about the sorry state of the left I would like to share this video from youtube with some of you. This guy sums up a lot of my feelings on the need for groups, parties and organisations even if its for simply human and social reasons. We are, after all, whether we be Marxists, Anarchists or whatever, human. We're social creatures.

edit: sorry can't seem to imbed the video.

Comrade, in two or three years time I will be able to raise money for a cabin and adjacent to it are meat farms. I plan to make sausages out of them. As an added attraction to those socialists, Marxists, social democrats, democratic socialists and the like, aside from having a get together in the farm north of New York, I would serve organic wine and organic beer with the logo PROUD TO BE MARXISTS in the bottle. I too want to seek social ties with fellow socialists and Marxists.

Ideally leftists should form their own communities. There is strength in numbers. You might not be able to gain control of your state politically, but there is a better chance of local power if there are sufficient numbers present.
