I don't know about you guys butnim super excited to see that the usage of this particular word is expanding. I have seen 3 users by my estimation in the past week or two say philistine, whereas it used to just be rafiq. Just wanted to say we should keep it up.

EDIT: All-mighty God Google says a philistine is a person "Hostile to Culture and Arts" but I think this is not what you guys mean with philistine?

EDIT2: Block condor from accessing this thread or he will start calling everyone a Marxist Philistine.

I've seen RedMaterialist use it, and before that RedWorker. And before that Sinister Intents.

I don't know the exact meaning either in radical left circles neither. Although I'm a philistine in a quite literal sense:
