…the center of the center of capitalism.

I just passed college ("university"), which I entered as a big-government Democrat and have left as – well, I guess a diluted mixture of Marx, Gramsci, and Mao. I spent a fair bit of time in campus activism, in protests and so on – I'm trying to do the same outside of college, now. I'm still in the big city, but I grew up in pleasant / mundane suburbs. It's hard to say how I was politicized precisely, though, it certainly wasn't through a book.

The biggest question these days I seem to have about politics is, where is the revolutionary left party in the U.S. going to come from? How will it be built? What will it do? Is it even necessary? (I say yes.)

If you happen to also be in / traveling through the NYC area, say hi! It'd be cool to collaborate.

Welcome :)

If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!

If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.

From what I've gotten in visiting New York is that it fucking over-rated. Literally in some places you can see the urban decay, the 1980s built tram system, and the infrastructure. New York is probably the only city that hasn't been wasted into the rust belt and Manhattan is pretty much a playground for the wealthy businessmen. fortunately it is so large and so important that it survived.
