I'm planning on making a pilgrimage there next year. Has anyone ever been? Anything I should know? I've actually never really been to Africa believe it or not, I also don't know much about African culture or history outside of a couple things but I mean, I know a little about Ethiopian history and culture and not mich. Most of my knowledge is surrounding Orthodoxy. I have also heard it was once under a Maoist government? Anything cool I could see in that respect? Actually, nvm, I know a lot about Ethiopian cuisine actually. But yeah, what's up?

They have a really cool jazz scene, jazz-punk group the EX tours there reguarly, there is a cool movie about it, ill see if i can find it

I absolutely love the history of Ethiopia! Especially those famous underground churchs found scattered across the mountains.
