So far we have seen millions flee from the Arab world as the fallout of the Arab spring continues. However, is there any hope for the nations of Syria,Yemen, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Mali, and Egypt? Are there any leftist brigades fighting (excluding Rojava) in these conflicts? Is it preferable for the Arab world to unite into a Pan-Arab republic to effectively fight off imperialism?

Please post as soon as possible..

I do not think the aspirations of the Arab peoples, judging from the Arab spring, is a Pan-Arab republic. Each nation in the Arab spring had its own particularities of struggle, in the same way 1848 in Europe reflected the different imperatives of different peoples. Even as an immediate goal a Pan-Arab republic is not even viable without a proletarian dictatorship, not to sound foolish - but we are at a point in the world where global capitalism relies so heavily on the political orders as they exist in most Arab countries that without some kind of incredibly radical change there, there is little hope for toppling - say - the Egyptian military or the despicable Sheikhs of the gulf.
