Anti-austerity in the referendum, euro-currency and austerity in the national elections

While the mainstream media propaganda did everything to make people vote for the new catastrophic measures, the result was clearly against these measures. People said 'NO' to the catastrophic austerity.

However, the propaganda seemed to be effective to a certain degree, concerning specific people. From a point and after, the media concentrated not to SYRIZA as a whole, but to the 'systemic threats' like Panagiotis Lafazanis, Zoe Konstantopoulou (http://failedevolution.blogspot.gr/2015/09/a-brief-description-of-financial-war-on.html), Yanis Varoufakis and Costas Lapavitsas. Many of them joined Popular Unity later.

Generally, the media tried to "decompose" these people to the voters, as being totally unreliable, or, even having specific "behavioural" problems in some cases. All the "parades" of these people to the mainstream media had only such a purpose. It is something that the US media are doing right now, more or less, with Bernie Sanders, probably through a more sophisticated way.

Naturally the capitalist media are going to say not-nice things against who or whatever is considered most left wing, just as socialist or leftist media are not going to be friendly when talking about right wing politicians. That's politics, can't stand the heat one should get out of the kitchen. Varoufakis et. al. were hardly demonized, for that matter.

No, the reason Popular Unity was a total flop at the polls is simple and obvious.

They all voted FOR the catastrophic measures Tsipras shoved down the throat of the Greek people, despite the historic OXI vote against all that. So why should anyone in Greece trust them not to just be Tsipras Mark II if voted into office? The KKE did a lot better than Popular Unity, but they blew the chance they had to capitalize on working class outrage against SYRIZA's betrayal when they took their infamous spoil-your-ballot position in the referendum.

So Greeks were angry and bitter, huge numbers stayed home and didn't vote, and those that did decided that the devil they knew was better than the devil they knew even better, New Democracy.

And all too many voted for the only party Greeks can see right now as really opposed to surrender to the Eurobankers.

Namely, the Golden Dawn neo-Nazis.
