Rise Up October has called for militant and mass mobilization on October 22 to 24, in New York City. These actions aim to mobilize many more thousands of people, from all walks of life, much more actively into this fight, to powerfully insist through their actions on those days that these murders must simply stop, NOW.

Oct 17 Saturday FUNDRAISING Project that Needs YOU
Northwestern University has offered Stop Mass Incarceration the opportunity to raise funds for Oct 24. We need 10 people to volunteer to work food stands that sell hot dogs, popcorn or drinks. We get %10 of sales plus we can put out tip/donation jars and literature to raise more funds and awareness about Stopping Police Murder and O24.
We have to be in Evanston at the stadium no later than 8 am and game starts at 11 till 4 pm. This is a great way for young people to raise money for buses and getting Stolen Lives families to NYC. Either write [email protected] or call 312-933-9586. Dress warm.

Art 4 Rise Up October" in Chicago
Chicago artists generously donated beautiful art to raise funds for the 100 Families campaign. All proceeds from the sales will go to this movement to STOP Police Terror. Initial proceeds of $460 have already been posted.
Youth on Southside Chicago
“Raising funds on the sidewalk in Chicago's South Shore neighborhood for themselves and others to get on the bus to go to NYC for Rise Up October. They said "we had muffins, chips & cookies for donations. We raised $103.”
Chicago Hospital
“We just raised $1,000 in one department in a Chicago area hospital. An activist gave the PDF “Bring the families of 100 Police Murder Victims to #RiseUpOctober” to a few co-workers who recently have expressed concern about police murders and who were starting to see the true magnitude of this epidemic.”
