Hey! I'm from Nepal, a South Asian country located between two economic giants namely India and China. Firstly, I want to say that I'm a young communist enthusiast and doesn't have very profound knowledge of the ideology. During Maoist insurgency in Nepal, my family was one of the strong supporters of the armed struggle and that way, I was exposed to communist ideology early in my life. Talking about leftist scene in Nepal, communism is very popular but I think its popularity is decreasing due to failure of communist parties to address poor working class people's aspirations in mainstream politics. Huge number of youths go to gulf countries to sell their labour and earn money and economy inside the country is heavily dominated by petty bourgeosie merchants. This is a short summary of quite complex condition of left-wing ideologies in Nepal. As I don't have much knowledge of left-ideologies, I don't have any political inclination right now. But I hope RevLeft will help me figure that out.

Welcome, it is not something you mention, but you might find Western Marxism interesting.

You mention the waning popularity of communism in Nepal and you hope revleft may clarify your political inclination.
I'm suggesting what passes for communism in communist parties in Nepal may be quite different from what passes for communism in the west.

Yes, you're quite. I've already noticed that in these few days I've spent here. Anyway, I'll be more than glad to know about western Marxism.
