No part of SYRIZA was ever going to pose a threat to Brussels. They had no choice but to comply with whatever the EU said or risk the consequences of default. Because these consequences would harm Greek capitalism, and SYRIZA, as a bourgeois party, would not want to do that.

Also..."bureaufascists"? Why do people feel the need to stick "fascist" in everything?

I'd say 'bureaufascists' / 'neofeudalists' -- they're pretty-much equivalent, now that all of Europe is basically a kingdom.
