I was reading about this yesterday and it is mind boggling...especially if you read the very cringe worthy covering of what goes on in the courtroom. Which you can get an idea of here:

Such an elaborate hoax. Pretty fucked up really, (sexually) deceiving and manipulating your friend like that.

I am not yet able to form an opinion on this either way. The whole story is rather....perplexing....not to mention sensationalised by the media....that I simply can't decide what the hell actually happened.

Because that Telegraph article only covers a part of the story....and there is so much more to it. For one thing the Telegraph article mentions that she first met Kye and only then Gayle while other articles and the court exerpts mention that she first met Gayle and through her social media accounts met Kye....which according to Gayle was an established Internet persona of hers since her teens and the complainant knew this. The entire story covers masks, blindfoldblindfolds, chest bandage changes, drives, multiple sexual encounters, Kye always showing up with Gayle's car...swimsuits....suicide attempts. Etc.

The complainants entire line is that she was starved for love and because of that naive. And wouldn't have been there with this story if it wasn't true.

There is one fact, omitted here, that does lend some credence to her side of events. When the story broke Gayle tried to commit suicide. She is reported to have said to the police or rescue workers when she was saved that she did it "because she has done something horrible to a friend who can not forgive her"....also she was wearing a bathing suit under her clothes.

Yet Gayle claims Kye was an established Internet persona and a shared fantasy between the two. That the complaintant knew this and added Kye shortly after she and Gayle spoke of this....and from that the shared fantasy developed.

And the complaintant refused to relinguish her Facebook for investigation to substantiate this or disprove it even though she relinguished everything else several months after filing charges.

And then there is the WHY? WHY would this continue for two years? How? If you are intelligent enough to create such an elaborate persona and history....you are intelligent enough to know that such subterfuge on such am intimate level will eventually fall through. Once, twice a few months perhaps....but this was two years with plans of a further shared future....and published on Facebook.

I can't even begin to form an actual opinion...

I need more information because so far it raises more questions than information.

One thing though...why is the complaintants identity protected while Gayle's identity and photos are highly published and broadcasted???
