From what I've read Marxism seems to be totally against any sort of belief systems involving anything supernatural, I agree with a majority of what Marx/Lenin said, but being a Pagan do not abide by the anti religion sentiment. (Though I do agree with the no religion in state/education statements, and against greater organized religious groups that act as a predator to the poor)

How do religious folk who agree with Communism fair in the greater socialist community? Has there been any revision that I may not be aware of, or has the all or nothing attitude continued?

I don't quite understand this post. Religion is just simply a lie.
However, everyone has (in private) the right to believe in what they want.

Of course, if they try to do anything harmful, that's a quite different situation

But, if you would ask to "a" "Marxist-Leninist", I wouldn't be surprised by a "KILL THEM ALL" of sorts.

If he agrees with communism, and accepts it, welcome! Believe in the flying mustache if he wants to
Just cooperate and accept the victory of the socialist revolution over the old bourgeois society, and he'll be fine.

EDIT: Also Tovarich, we all are "revisionists" here. Either "revisionists" or Nazbols, but the nazbols usually are restricted.

You are free to be a communist and religious at the same time, but you should be aware of the contradictions, and do not delude yourself.
Engels criticized the Blanquists' crude atheism.
Marxism is not "totally against any sort of belief systems involving anything supernatural", it simply plainly analyses them for what they are, and does not engage in metaphysics.

Good.

The clarification is appreciated.

I'm perfectly fine with the contradiction (since being a human means you will inevitably be a hypocrite about one thing or another from time to time)

I am not a ML but ill say, mind the grammar in my post, from my phone.

Marx held that religion was a sort of muffled cry of agalony against the utter shittiness of life people had. He also noted that it served an ideological function in the state, so to justify war and privillege etc...

You can worship w.e but communism is inherently atheistic by virtue of its negation of previous ideology, which religion is a central tenant. That said, we oppose the disgusting attack against people due to this, i.e jews in europe, muslims in the u.s christians in iraq etc...

Marx held that religion was a sort of muffled cry of agalony against the utter shittiness of life

That's why it's not reasonable to expect religion to just go away before fixing people's problems that drives them to it.

I'm a pagan as well! But I am a naturalist-Pagan and I too don't share the anti-religious sentiment that many Marxists have.
I believe in naturalism/materialism. My idea of god(s) is one of naturalistic-pantheistic type and I don't see how it contradicts any Marxist analysis. Marxists don't have to be the stereotype of atheists-materialists. Pantheist-materialists exist! And idealist-Atheists too. It's not a simple : Atheist = materialist, Theist* = idealist. That's just daft.
