Hello there, thought I should be introducing myself. I'm a college student in northern Indiana studying computer engineering and an avid reader of Marx's works and other Marxists pieces of literature.
I've been a socialist for a while, since middle school when learning about the cold war. I got more interested in why socialism "failed" and started reading more into the subject and eventually found Marx's works and it seemed quite reasonable to me. I also have an avid love for history, so Marx's theory of historical materialism appealed a great amount to me.
So throughout high school I was the token commie. Everyone knew it, no one seemed to care. Some teachers jokingly poked at me because of it, but they were typically clever about it so I didn't mind.
I'm currently a freshman at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) studying computer engineering, as computers have been a passion of mine for the longest time.
Within the lefist spectrum, I typically have a tendency to fall somewhere around Titoism.
Anyways, I thank you for reading this, I hope to be a valuable member of this community and contribute when and where I can!
