Naturally mass media wouldn't put Che and Pancho Villa up as anything BUT evil, but still that is very ignorant for them to do that. Never listen to the news, comrade.

And where have you seen Che and Pancho Villa portrayed as evil...?

Just wondering, not doubting your statement.

it'd be obvious that most American media would portray this. If there was a newspaper by Guevara or Villa, it probably wouldnt show any good that America's done. With good reason of course.

Media will always be biased in some form. It's a matter of understanding both sides and drawing a conclusion independently.

Media has, and always will be, a source of propagandha. I would rather see and talk to eye witnesses who haven't been touched by the known media yet, so that they could actually give you a clear idea as to the real story.

It's always been my complete belief that you must hear both sides of the story in order to draw a conclusion. Getting all your news from Granma is going to make you far too biased towards Castro and his government, no matter what the circumstances. Getting all your news from FOX is going to end up making you an unconditional supporter of Bushie and the Republican Party.

The general media, though most major news sources claim to be "unbiased," is completely biased. It's all about making the reader believe your side, watering it down a little bit so that it doesn't look like complete propaganda (with the exception of Granma.)

I have no problem with the American media, so long as it is balanced out with foreign news sources - I read articles from news agencies all over the world - Mexico, Cuba, Jamaica, Belize, Canada, the U$, France, Egypt, Iran, Russia, China... and so on.

Basically, the media is biased. If you want to read glowing things about Che Guevara, read Granma! No one is forcing anyone to get all of their news from FOX or CNN. When watching or reading western news pieces obviously biased towards the U$, just keep that in mind and take what is being said "with a grain of salt."

...I hope that made some sense.

People in the news actually think Villa was a good guy around here. Maybe it's cus of all the Mexicans around. But I've never seen anything about Che on tv in my life believe it or not. So I guess they can't say he's evil or the anti christ if they don't even talk about him.

I haven't really seen too much slander against Che or Pancho Villa in the mass media. It must be a liberal conspiracy !
It would not be a surprise though , because the media is owned by some of the largest corporations on earth, obviously they have an agenda and would not like the Status Quo to change too much , so anyone with different ideals is usually shown in a bad light, because what they think is not "normal".

I think we should subject everyone to criticism, including Che, including Pancho Villa as well. No one nor anything , should be above criticism, that should be a basic trait of Marxism. To criticise is to not disrespect someone name but allows for a growth of ideas. Che ruthlessly criticised himself at points and we should not be afraid to do the same. Just because you don't agree with someone 100 %, does not mean you can't think of someone as "great".

No one is forcing anyone to get all of their news from FOX or CNN
This is true but this is where most people get there "news" from, so if that is biased, then the people who get the news from there, the majority , will see it as "truth", which does not do much good for a leftist movement. I think most here read a variety of sources but the majority rely on mass media, which remains the most biased.

Ain't that the truth...Che Guevara was not involved in a Guerilla war now ? What ?

Statements like this "In Cuba Che couldn't fight anyone to fight against him" ...What ?

"The few puerile skirmishes again Batista's army in Cuba would have been shrugged off as a slow night by any Cripp " Again...what ? Does he know anything about it ?

This guy "studies" history as well and writes for a site, which sells Ronald Reagan's "greatest laughs". "This unique program brings together Ronald Reagan's best jokes, one-liners and funny stories“.

He criticised Che's work because he couldn't understand what he was saying as well. That's hardly his fault , I could understand it just fine and I haven't got a million, presumably read by tens of thousands. Perhaps if he used some of Reagan's oh so witty one liners, it would have been better
