Some people have probably already seen this. Anyway, I was in London yesterday visiting a university and some of the accomodation was very near his grave. I did not take this picture actually, I am not sure its a very good picture.
On the grave it says 'Workers of all lands unite' and 'The philosophers have only interpreted the world in various ways - the point however is to change it'

I am sorry, but I find the huge scowling head some kind of creepy.
In any event, that is quite a monument. When was it built, and who paid for it? Background... I need background!!! *calms down*

It's in England because taht's where he lived much of his life and where he died.
Apparently this picture was taken in the future! December 2, 2004
Wow!

i have been there too, it is actually much bigger than any of the other graves there. I also visited the reading room in the british museum where he wrote the manifesto. All good.

It is bigger than all the graves there except the big tombs, but its not like the British government are going to build him a grand monument.
It looks like a scowl partly because you cannot see his eyes in that picture, as I said its not a great picture.
His wife and his daughter are buried there too. There are some graves of socialist around him. A leader of the Iraqi Communist Party is buried nearby.

When/if I move to England as I plan to, that would be one of my first visits.
I've seen only two other pictures of it, bot are low quality and were taken in the fog.
