From the document 2015 U.S. National Military Strategy:

This 2015 National Military Strategy addresses the need to counter revisionist states that are challenging international norms... We are working with allies and partners to deter, deny, and – when necessary – defeat potential state adversaries.

By the way, the more "revisionist" countries are Russia, China and Iran

I don't agree with China, Russia or Iran on domestic policy but it's a damn good thing we have nations "challenging international norms".

Except if that challenging is reactionary (as it is). I don't really see how theirs is different than the US's challenging though.

And what do you mean with ""? Revisionism isn't a Stalinist term.

So the US military is anti-revisionist now? Defending Marxism from opportunism and right deviationism.

The US opposing "revisionism", sadly, is not about defending Marxism from Brezhnevism, Dengism and Juche. As defined by the 2015 US Nation Military Strategy, it's defined as seeking to change the international order. Basically alter the current balance of power. Which, as Marxism or even basic common sense says, is not stable and eternal.

The document seems more pessimistic yet aggressive than the last one. It all but names SCO as a threat, specifically listing Russia, Iran, DPRK and China. It calls for building defenses in just about every country around them. There was some hope India would be in this defense too, however not long afterwards India and Pakistan were approved for full membership in SCO. Also it talks about non-state actors such as jihadist. With non-state orgs the strategy is disrupt, degrade and defeat. For states the strategy is deter, deny and defeat. Probability of a state conflict is lower, but the consequences higher. Higher for non-state, but not as bad. Inbetween is hybrid warfare with a mix of both. This is in a continuum.

Interesting thing also mentioned is urbanization, with millions moving from the countryside to the city as a possible destabilizing force.

Revisionist state is a term from Power Transition Theory within the wider field of international relations. It is used to describe states.

The term assumes a direct correlation between a state's hegemony, both political and economic, and its standing as either a status quo state or a revisionist state. Powerful and influential nations in international relations such as the United States, United Kingdom, France and other nations like Japan that are better placed in the world order, are likely to fall under the category of status quo states while North Korea, Iran, Russia and other nations dissatisfied with their place in the international system are termed revisionist states.
