It's the first collaboration between Marx and Engels and is a critique of the Left Hegelian movement and idealism in general and so represents the first articulation of M & E's historical materialist outlook. This is all developed more thoroughly in the German Ideology and I think the main interest is that it presents Marx early ideas on political economy. But again, these are developed more thoroughly elsewhere.
