What if America had one more African-American POTUS? The fact that Obama failed as President isn’t the result of his skin color. But his policy is so filthy that no one believes the next POTUS can be black. People won’t support black candidate at least for the upcoming elections. But IF?... No way. How long the shadow of Obama and the stereotype about the President’s skin color would be upon the nation?

Does it even matter? No. Oh no, we might not have another black person that won't represent us in the white house! Or are you under the impression that Obama was going to be some socialist savior that was going to change things? He is a mediocre president with an over zealous opposition (that partly hated him because he is black).

Obama's not black since he's a shapeshifting lizard and therefore he can take on any skin color.

Several black militant organizations have said that a black face in high place doesn't equal progress. with this system, no face any color is going to fix that.

Obama didn't fail as a president. He did what he was supposed to do, govern the bourgeois American state, and by all accounts he did it adequately enough. If you've just noticed that Obama did nothing for the workers, then congratulations, you've made the first step on the road to discovering none of the rats who get elected to lead the US government will do anything for the workers and the oppressed. It is up to the workers to smash the American bourgeois state.
If the next president is black, it will have the same effect as the next president being Asian, or gay, or left-handed, or letting his nuts hang on the left side, would. None.

Most of the left liberals I know are quite pleased with Obama, and are looking forward to Hillary.

What do those guys think about Sanders? Genuinely curious.

My family are liberals who are quite pleased with Obama and looking forward to Bernie. I assume they believe he's a socialist, but I know they think actual socialism is ridiculous. "Fucking commies" has come out of my dad's mouth before.
I'm just confused about the whole thing, given their dismissal of my politics.

Race or gender isn't relevant in any way. It's time to acknowledge that in capitalist system it is very, very unlikely to be chosen anyone who isn't just another bourgeois servant...

Really? I thought that "left-liberals" would have soured on him by now, given that he's never really done much to confront the Republicans (at least when it wasn't futile).

Why should I care about skin color? The fact is, no president can fix the issue. We need a revolution.

I think that that gimmick's done for the moment, so another one isn't in immediate demand. Rihanna shall return to being the icon of black culture, or whatever.

Obama was a great success of a President!..for the bourg-bastards.

Yes the ruling class really should appreciate how well Obama tip-toed through his presidency. Given the precarious state of capitalism (at least, in hindsight) back when the economic crisis began, he did a good job managing that. If another bumbling idiot had been elected, who knows.
