Breaking: Airport workers give strike notice

More than 1,000 security officers, baggage handlers and cabin cleaners have given strike notice at both JFK and LaGuardia airports in what will be the largest airport strike in recent history.

The strike, led by security officers, is a response to repeated, illegal threats and intimidation these airport workers have endured while fighting for $15.

Airport security has been a hot topic in recent months. News articles ask, “Is airport security as strong as it could or should be?” The hard working security officers who do this work want to make sure the answer is yes.
