With the amount of racists on there, it basically is. The majority of reddit users are racist. Some are more hateful than others and the others are the "I'm not racist BUT..." types.

/r/socialism got pretty insufferable. I was one of the people who basically left when they started deleting posts they didn't like (I think they've calmed down on that a bit now) and tried to form /r/theleft. It still has some insightful comments though, and I lurk there a lot. FULLCOMMUNISM is, of course, hilarious/awesome.

I find the users saying everyone is liberal worse.

Lately a lot of "DAE Sanders is Hitler" (there was actually, no joke, a thread with basically this premise with a few upvotes a couple days ago) and threads encouraging no electoral participation, and not much else.

I don't say everyone is a liberal but when someone is a liberal, they are a liberal and I have the right to refer to them as that.

I don't consider sanders and his supporters to liberals but I have seen social dems posting there. If you asked them about capitalism, they'd just say to tax the rich more.

It's worse actually. It's been known to host subreddits featuring child pornography, revenge porn, tips for raping women, as well as sexualized corpses of women and children. Only recently has it taken measures against these. Also, it has a white supremacist population rivaling that of stormfront, and administrators have no intention to stop this:
