Even on Revleft I see people say "Feminism is female supremacy blablabla bullshit" so are there any proud male feminists out there that know the truth how feminism is the liberation of women not their rule.

But for real, I think only Q wouldn't identify as feminist or ally.

In the "Feminists" group there are people saying there should be no feminist group but a gender equality group because feminism supports female rights not men. Boohooo!

dudes calling themselves feminists are fake ass shits in 99,5% of all cases, trust me, I'm an expert on everything.

Most of the feminists on a radical left wing website are probably true radicals, but theres always some wackos.

Fucking yes, worst poster of 2013

And yeah dudes who call themselves feminists are almost universally up to something.

Uhm, I'd hope all people here are effectively feminists in the way OP outlines the basic feature of it.

Now as for what I'd call myself. I'd prefer to go with "the wondrous hedgehog".

In my experience this is actually true. All of the guys I know who've been very vocal about feminism and women's issues have been really problematic. A lot of them had the whole "well I'm a good guy who knows about consent, rape culture, patriarchy, and other issues so therefore I'm entitled to a women's body" mentality.

I don't identify as a feminist, but I won't reject the label if I am labelled one in the course of discussion or something like that. I don't feel it's necessary for Marxists to adopt the label to prove that they're in favor of women's liberation.

Literally for me to poop on. I used to accuse him of making any thread he posted in all about himself rather than the topic and then he would freak out and post a whole bunch about how he never did that, which would then make the thread entirely about himself.

I remember Sam_B being a dick unnecessarily a lot. At first I remembered him having a dry sense of humor but, thinking more about it, he was pretty much humorless. I think I'm just confusing how I laughed at how much of a dick he was sometimes with him having a good sense of humor.

Sam b arrived at those special points in certain threads and said what nobody else was willing to. They probably pissed a lot of people off because they were right.

I seriously doubt anyone who actually understands these issues has that mentality. I've heard conservatives preaching that "feminism means an ideology in which viewing pornography among other things is viewed as wrong, men can't be actual feminists and they only pretend being so in order to get laid".

If what you say is true, we have yet another thread not about them, now about them. And they haven't even posted in this thread.

I'm pretty sure that Sam_B died tragically of terminal grumpiness some time ago.

Sam b was occasionally right on matters of politics.

I remember in non-political threads him being un-necessarily dick-ish and unhelpful. Two really un-likeable traits. But then again, maybe some people enjoy being 'edgy' like that.

I just thought he was a humorless ass, I don't think I ever saw him post an explicit political opinion or position in any thread he participated in. I also held his dumb family guy avatar against him. Are we still talking about male feminists? This is the Sam_b thread.

Sam_b is politically very good especially on social issues, and I agree he often filled that truth-sayer role. I don't know if he has humour, but I can sign that he was very funny with his dry wit- as long as he was attacking someone else than you. It fucking sucked if it was you.

We had a long history of animosity between us, which was slowly repaired a bit over the last years, but after his departure (which I won't go into more here) I harbour very few illusions he will ever respect me again. Downside of the admin job.

He isn't banned or anything btw, and I sincerely hope he returns, no matter what he may think of me personally, as we need quality posters. I could even see him as a mod once again, in the right circumstances, as I think would the other admins, but again I'm too much of a cynic to see it actually happening..

His future position here will really be up to him.

I wouldn't call myself a "proud feminist" but yes, by definition, I am a feminist. I'm not proud of it as I see wanting gender equality as something that should be the norm and therefor nothing to be really proud of.

Plus I am not the type to be like "HEY GURL. I AM A SENSITIVE MAN THAT UNDERSTANDS UR FEMALE ISSUES SO YEAH WILL YOU MARRY ME?" and that is what labeling myself as a "proud feminist" implies to me.
