It seems many of you are in the pan-leftist group. Yet O ask questions and try to learn things and I agree I'm young and stupid and should probably read more. But whenever I ask a question on this forum people make fun of me. I want become a "better socialist" and all you people do is say smart things to me. Jeez is this pick on the new guy day.

No. What do you mean by 'smart' things? I would have thought that if you're trying to learn new things, then people telling you smart things would be helpful. If you think you're stupid, how would other people being as stupid as you think you are raise your game at all?

By "smart things" I meant facetious, rude, and sarcastic comments.

Right.
Did I say I thought your faith in MagicSkyBeard was ridiculous? Don't take it personally. I think everyone's belief in MagicSkyBeard is ridiculous. You only think it's about you because you don't know how many other people I also think are ridiculous.
Apart from that - if you're serious that you're here to learn, then you've got to start somewhere.

So you mean something like:
O ask questions and try to learn things and I agree I'm young and stupid and should probably read more. But whenever I ask a question on this forum people make fun of me
Isn't that by Debussy?
However, I think it's likely that this thread might be pushing the boundaries of what constitutes a question, if you're treating things such as this complaint as worth a question about 'Pan-Leftism and Leftism and Something,' then it might be that they feel that some of the questions you're asking are misleading or poor, and that this is largely the issue. In addition, you mentioned the pan-leftist group in such a way as to have this appear a question when it was a complaint more or less, and the rest of your questions seem slightly brief. You might want to rein that sort of thing in.

Okay where do I start? I've read The Communist Theory by Engels and The Communist Manifesto by Marx. What do I do? I'm here to learn.

Read some more books from Marx and Engels (origin of the family, blablabla and state/the german ideologie/value price and profit are good choices)
Then roll around searching for old threads that can answer your questions (most time there are some of them arleady)
Otherwise just ask about something.
I advise reading marx & engels and first and then reading people in the forum discussing about stuff. Even if you aren't having questions on some matter, read about it. It might help a lot.

I think most of the time people are just joking and don't mean to insult anyone -- I can see how it looks like they're making fun of the OP of the thread, though.

I can honestly say that Marx and Engels are entirely useless IMO. Now, that isn't a popular opinion around here AMD it certainly doesn't gain me any friends IRL, but I'm not in this to gain friends but to attack the environment that opposes me at every turn.

It's also just not true. I mean how is their critique of capitalism useless to someone who claims to be an anti-capitalist? How is their explanation of history, exploitation and alienation useless to someone who wants to radically transform society and see the destruction of capitalism and the stat?
I'm sorry handsome, but you're talking nonsense.

I don't know how many questions of yours I've answered, but since you're new, I'm guessing much of the questions you ask we've already answered extensively the day before. We've also been here a while. So it's gotten old a long time ago.
Also, I wouldn't describe much of the constant posters as pan-leftist. Some of us are straight up anti-political and therefore 'non-leftist' (as opposed to calling ourselves anti-leftist which is a reactionary label, and we find some friends in the radical left). What I'm trying to say is that we all have very set views. These allow us to analyze effectively and confidently. Newbies are usually new to radicalism and are vulnerable to any 'alternative view'. They're also usually under the liberal impression that you have to respect all other people's views (even if racist, sexist, homophobic, free speech bullshit), which is just about the least militant or revolutionary way someone who labels themselves either of those can think. Basically, we're sort of shocking you into some sort of concrete position in all of this. That's what happened to me, sort of off of here and both from reading a memoir of a militant turned pacifist and realizing I strongly favor militancy. It's different for everyone.
