Hello to all!
I'm HanoiJohn. My parents were poor at naming their kids.
They named my sister MoscowSarah.
Lamentably she went on to legally simplify it.
Ergo she now goes by 'Moscow.'
Returning to the matter at hand, I look forward to making all your acquaintances!

Welcome :)
If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!
If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.

My question would be: how long will my posts be moderated for? Asking as it's a little irritating. Obviously I see why it's done but I hope you can see why it's a bit of a thorn in my side.
If it's something specific to me, I give you my word of honour that I have no malevolent intent  Shitposting isn't my stated aim, although it may not seem that way to the casual observer.
Sadly there are trolls on the internet (shock, horror). However, hard-handed safety measures also serve to dissuade new members from becoming established members. It matters not! Thank you for your welcome :)

In the thread titled "Introduction forum rules and more - Read this before posting a thread (http://www.revleft.com/vb/introduction-forum-rules-t180696/index.html)" in this very subforum, which I'm sure you have read, there might be a bit you could have missed that answers your question:
But my threads and/or posts don't show up!
When you first sign up, your posts might not show up immediately. Don't worry though - there's a reason for it. You're not experiencing a bug, you haven't been restricted, you haven't been punished, nothing has gone wrong.
Basically to ward off spammers & trolls we have a 10-post approval period where your first ten posts need to be approved by a moderator. What this means is that for your first ten posts here at Revleft, each of those ten posts will need to be personally approved by one of the moderators. Usually this happens quickly and speedily, and I personally make sure to do them as quickly as possible.
Note that any posts in the non-political forums don't count towards your postcount. So if you want to reach the 10th post in your count, start posting in the regular forums! In general the Learning forum is a great way to start out :)

Awesome. Of course there are many trolls. Adopting a user name refering to a news hoax attempting to dicredit people for anti imperialism and anti war by linking it with communism usually is a good indication...when joining a revolutionary anti imperialist board. Could be coincidence of course...because you know....that is likely.
Nice opening post by the way. Very creative. Missed it in the first read. Jolly good show. Top Internet points.
Anyways....tell us more about your current political affiliation and why you are here

I thought Hanoi Jane genuinely did support the North Vietnamese, and I'm blessed with a Y-chromosome. And John sort of rhymes with Jane. You see how clever I am. I didn't fact-check, if Fonda didn't actually support Ho Chi Minh then I retract that last sentence, but I'll still keep my cool name.

I don't label myself. I'm generally pro wealth redistribution and self-determination and against religion (not freedom of, but its place in public life) with a pessimistic and detached view of human nature.
