This statistic very plainly says that the Cubans are using the little riches that they have to develop their country in the way they see fit--- giving priority to children and the vulnerable while defying the international conglomerates.
Compare Cuba with the rest of the world

Everyone I've spoken to who has been to both says that the Cuban health and education systems are far better than their US counterparts.

WTF?? The opposite is the case. In the last couple of years Castro has really cracked down. He executed 70 odd dissidents about a year ago, and executed 5 people who escaped Cuba in a raft but got sent back by the US Coastguard.

Why are you talking such shit?
The only executions last year were of terrorists and hijackers maybe five at most and they were killed in combat, so to speak.. Madness, where do you pick up such blatant bollocks?

I agree with Arthur here.
Generaly speaking, I think that Castro is quite successfuly weeding out counter revolutionaries while providing plenty of freedom for the people.

You are both talking shit! :P
While everybody’s eyes were on the Iraq war, Castro had a huge fun in Cuba!
78 “betrayers” were arrested. They all got Stalin-like trials. Life impresonment for a dozen of them, the rest oscillate between 30 years in jail or death sentence.
They not not all executed and these people were not terrorist. They were all moderate opposants; journalists, members of human rights groups and militants.
