I think he was a better Maoist than Mao became. A great man that should not have been killed and should have succeeded Mao like he was supposed too. Mao should have stepped down after the cultural revolution and put Lin Biao in charge.

What are your views?

Wouldn't one ruler appointing another kind of go against the spirit of the cultural revolution? I think Lin Biao was probably a genuine Maoist, which was very unfortunate for him since Mao wasn't.

Just until a vote of confidence would be in order.

Long live the victory of the People's War! (https://www.marxists.org/reference/archive/lin-biao/1965/09/peoples_war/index.htm) Lin Biao was a brilliant military strategist. Almost like Engels predicted how a revolution in China was going to play out. Whether that would've extended to politics we may never know thanks to the Dengite capitalist roaders who killed him:mad:.
Just until a vote of confidence would be in order.Marxists clearly became the minority in the CPC. I'm not certain Lin would've even come close, or if he did take over instead of Deng, that the party would've gone along. He wasn't the only person in the PRC after all.
