I am a new anarchist on RevLeft. I was told to write an introduction, so here I am.
I used to think that Stalinism and Maoism were communism. I love science, and the USSR was the First Nation to launch stuff into space, so I took a liking to the USSR. Much later, I learned that the USSR was not communist. I studied and learned what socialism and communism really were. Much later, I became an anarchist.
I think that society should transfer nonviolently from capitalism to market anarcho-syndicalism. Once humanity is of much higher technological prowess, I think we should transfer to communism.
I live in the Bible Belt, so I'm pretty alone.
So yeah. That's me.

Welcome :)

If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!

If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.

Welcome Comrade. Interesting views. Do you feel any transition from a statist capitalism to an anarcho-syndicalist one would work peacefully? Do you accept any violent means of achieving your goals?

Hey.

I don't think the syntagm "market anarcho-syndicalism" makes any sense. Syndicalist writers like Rocker were fairly explicit in their rejection of markets. Why do you think markets are needed at all?

As for nonviolent revolution, that has pretty much proven itself not to work historically, so again I can only ask why you insist on the nonviolent nature of the revolution.

Anarchism is opposed to capitalism, private property, not necessarily the market. Anarchism still allows for the exchange of goods. As for nonviolence, why a violent revolution? People on both sides will die. I would much prefer converting enough people to anarchism that capitalism can't function anymore.

The_Southern_Leftist, I hope it is possible to simply convert enough people to anarchism that capitalism cannot function.
