I have heard that the difference between positive and negative rights as explained by bourgeois theorists is a false dichotomy - that so called positive rights could also be explained as negative rights.
Can anyone explain why this is so? Can you explain "the right to drinking water" as a negative right or the "right to free speech" as a positive right?
