Where you ever called ethnic slurs? What ones?
Did you call kids ethnic slurs?
Do you believe ethnicities own rights to the usage of certain words?
Just tell me your opinion on pejoratives.

Once or twice I've gotten called a Jew by drunks/morons on the street, purely based on looks, especially when I haven't shaved for a while. (Generally accompanied by an adjective like "filthy", just to make it clear they aren't complimenting my commitment to the Talmud or anything. I'm neither religious nor ethnically Jewish.) Does that count?

Did you call kids ethnic slurs?

Nah. I used to have a little casual racist sentiment against gypsies but outgrew it pretty quick, and otherwise exhibited remarkably little bigotry considering how natural it is to be bigoted in this country.

Do you believe ethnicities own rights to the usage of certain words?

This is not a matter of rights, just one of not being a jerk. Yes, the use of the word "nigger" has a different meaning used by a white and by a black person. I cannot, for the life of me, understand people who are jealous of blacks for that. As if it was some major privilege they are unfairly cheated out of!

Cheesehead (kaaskop < alliterates, sounds better).
Kankerhollander (no translation rly, cancer hollandish/dutchman). Twas traumatising :crying:

When I was like 4 I called my black neighbour girl poop coloured in a really vile manner. The moment I'm most ashamed of in my entire life. She used to pet bumblebees.

I have been called a Kraut, Spic, germ, but worst and most common was Nazi.

I have used slurs but never to be insulting usually just in reference to something.

No one can own a word but you should never offend someone either.

Didn't you say you were Cuban?

Me and my friends called one of our friends a Jew because he had a really big nose (he wasn't Jewish).

I'm not not gonna call a black person out for saying 'nigga'. They're appropriating something that was once dark in a positive light, for their situations I guess. I'm not gonna use the word myself even though, as a minority in the bay, I usually get a pass for that. I recognize that it's unique to them, I don't feel right saying it in almost any situation. From a white person's position, that is a position of systematic and cultural superiority. So it sounds really goddamn derogatory when they use it, which is why it's fucked up for white people to use it.
Similarly there's the Mexican term 'güey' which is a slang for 'dude', but also means 'dumbass' when it comes from a position of authority. I've had a few white people refer to me as that, and based on the cultural, regional, and systematic implications I wanted to punch them. It's not like I thought it through that after 2 hours of studying I decided it would be nice to punch them. No, it's because for my 15/18 years in this goddamn country I've seen those people have wealth, privilege, and opportunities that I probably never will. I've felt them dominate me through discrimination, now they suddenly call me a dumbass.
Is it our word? The best way to answer that is 'pretty much yeah'. There's a careful boundary that people have to be aware of with terms like that. Can't just pretend like words are words and walk away, no they have a much deaper history.

As for the rest of the questions I used to be racist towards Asian people for a while because of a feud I developed with Asian friends.
I myself have been called 'strawberry picker' and 'illegal' a few times. Other than that it's people shouting 'la migra' at me and associating me to latino stereotypes. Although I don't get it that much because I'm pale to an extent (I tan easily, but my tan is bad and inconsistent). So people don't usually know how to insult me, or they just assume I'm in their ethnic group.
I did get called a 'jew' a few months back because a customer thought I was refusing service to them. Also one cousin calls me 'white' as part of their attempts to create an ad hominem for me, to make my political position seem inappropriate. He's a racist assimilationist so he wants me to stop getting on him so he can be a douche in peace lol.

I am Greek-Jewish but as you might know, Jews look like Greeks and vice versa. So no racial slurs based on appearance. I was never afraid to tell my close friends that I am Greek-Jewish but right now in Greece it's getting increasingly dangerous you know. Because of Golden Dawn. I don't follow any religion by the way.

Im half German-American half Cuban, but I look super German like honestly Im so blonde when I was younger my hair was white! From the moment we learned about Hitler in 4th grade kids have assumed me and my sisters were Nazis event today. I have to explain to a kid once that I am not a Nazi and my family isn't either. A Jewish girl once wanted me to apologize to her for the holocaust. Someone wrote "Mecha Hitler Beep Boop" on an attendance paper and the class assumed it was me and this racist Jewish kid wanted me to kill myself. My sister used to be called "Hitler Worshiper" in school, and today kids are afraid of her.

I am in no way a NAZI! My family came to America before WW1, they fought Hitler in WW2 and I would probably have been sent to a camp for being a socialist.

That's kind of crazy.. So Miami is like some kind of bizarroworld where shiny blonde goyish children are harassed by Jewish bullies for having some German background on one side of their family?

No, Im not trying to say that Miami is full of germanaphobic Jews, (actually whites are a minority in Miami, hispanics dominate) These are just my experiences and what theyve taught me is that I cant imagine what the black, hispanic or native Americans get everyday. It just gives me a level of respect to oppressed minorities. And I said he was racist because its not just germans he doesnt like, he has said a lot more about other peoples.

I am American with the most German last name to ever sound German, so I was teased as being a Nazi in middle school. Not very traumatizing at all because they all looked and acted the same as me, so it didn't make me feel as an outsider in any sense nor did they see me that way in any real sense. They more or less just liked saying funny sounding German words and making simple associations.

Also @ Mushroompizza, wow it must be SO HARD being a German-American. I am kidding. Because it is not.
And your anecdotes sound exaggerated and even if they are not, they are not an expression of any kind of ethnic division from the mainstream culture you enjoyed the privilege of being included in.

I used to laugh at racist jokes under the sort of liberal "lighten up" mentality but that is about it.

To make a serious contribution to the thread - I grew up in a predominately italian american community so I got called a mick and a paddy on a regular basis. To be honest I find that I still hold negative associations/views of Italian-Americans.

I grew up on a half petty bourgeois white circle and half poor mestizo/black circle. The amount of racism is unbelievable, sometimes subtle, but blatant when 'in private'.

Even when not using "pejorative words" you could feel it in the voice tones, the stares...

This thread is gold. One man complains a little, becomes known as cry baby, then others do exactly the same thing.

But anyway for people who cant read my posts let me repeat... this is not that big of a problem in my life just a bother, and at first I let it pass until I realized a few people actually believed I was a Nazi. But fuck it I guess I will never talk about problems again that do not fall into your view of the world, and remember if someone slightly disagrees with you on this site they are obviously trolls or spies from stormfront.com .

You were whining quite a low about how hard it was to be white in america so idk it makes sense that people made a bit of fun at you. Hell it happens a lot to me on here (for different reasons but still). What I'm trying to say is don't complain about the way people here treat you.

It is quite odd that you were harassed for being German. Something like 30% of White Americans are partly or fully German (even if one doesn't count Scandinavians and the Dutch as "Germanic").

I can't speak for individual circumstance, its just very odd that this ethnic group which is so prevalent in the U.S is targeted.

Well there aren't any slurs for Eastern Europeans really, but here in America there is pretty big anti-immigrant sentiment. I've been told numerous times to "go back to my country" or that I need to "speak English" consistently. I've also been called a communist solely for stating where I'm from, but obviously I don't take offense to that. Anyway, since I'm white, racism against me doesn't exist at all, so I have nothing to complain about there.

I've never called anyone a slur. In fact back in my lib days I refrained from even calling black people, well, black. It was quite ridiculous.

When it comes to people being allowed to say words, I agree with Armchair Partisan on this point. There's not necessarily a "right" to say certain words, just don't be reactionary racist trash :)

Racism is a structural form of oppression, so what white people feel is mostly prejudice which is still bad. Words play a big part in it when it comes to racism, but they mostly perpetuate it instead of delivering the real social damages and disturbances. Like a white person can be called something derogatory, but that's usually the extent of it. They aren't also refused a home, or called the cops on, or hassled by the cops because of their being white. It's all of this coming together and consistently repeating that constitute racism.

I do rarely use "nego" (something like "nigga") but "nego" in brasil refers more to a unknown person then a actual afrodescendent.

Exactly! Hence my disclaimer in my original post. White people who claim that "anti-white racism" exists is utterly and completely fucking ridiculous. White people have never faced any kind of institutionalized oppression, mass generalizations, etc. So stating quite a claim would be preposterous. I agree with you wholeheartedly.

White People have it easy in the USA statistically. What I on occasion get is not oppressive just really annoying. It is an anomaly in this country the reason it happens to me is because Miami has a minority white population and most have brown hair, to many I look exotic (I know how ridiculous I sound ) I have had someone just at random touch my hair because -"I have never felt Aryan hair". I've had questions about my hair as if it is some sort of strange object. LET ME REPEAT!!! This does not compare to the bad institutional racism other minorities get in the USA, I am just sharing my experiences.

Oh... and Placenta Cream is a cool guy.
