Hello all. I was looking for an active, open forum for left-wingers.
I am somewhat of a libertarian socialist in theory, though in practice I mostly support Trotskyist groups (I am a member of Socialist Alternative USA). I am not a big fan of orthodox adherence to any tendency however. I consider myself a realist in terms of the immediate success of socialist movements, in particular in the US, and am willing to support small steps leftwards.
Outside politics, which is my main passion, I enjoy tennis, Douglas Adams, and oriental small clawed otters. I currently attend a tiny liberal arts college but am currently in the process of transferring to UVA.
