I thought I read somewhere that Marx had said that the proletariat should unite with the petty-bourgeoisie in the German revolution to overthrow the haute-bourgeoisie and then turn around and oppose the petty-bourgeoisie in a worker's revolution.

Did I dream this up or is this something Marx actually wrote?
