I'll try and keep my introduction brief but informative.

I'm new to the leftist ideology. I'm an American who lives in a conservative state and have a hard time fitting in and making close friends. I generally find anarcho-syndicalism as an attractive system for now. I'm against hierarchical structures in general unless they're totally necessary. I'm an atheist introvert who believes in minimalism and simple living. I also like leftist punk rock. :)

Here is a brief history on how I became a leftist:

As a teenager I supported democratic politicians such as Obama but only because I followed my family's family values. It wasn't until I got into college when I began to understand in depth what it means to be democrat versus republican. I then came across youtube videos with "economic collapse" in their titles and started to feel panic because as a hard working college student I couldn't imagine a future with lower socio-economic status. ha!

Eventually I came across Ron Paul who I admired and appreciated. I liked his ability to smash the arguments put out on the other side. Eventually I threw anarcho-capitalism in the trash after realizing that it is an extremely oppressive and dangerous ideology. However I then discovered anarchism through Noam Chomsky and found his arguments even more convincing. At this point I'm about to start reading the communist manifesto and other literature on anarchism.

Anyway that is what I have to say. I'm very excited to be on here. I also like the design of the website. :)
