"Mayweather VS Pacquiao: A Technical Summary"

What's going on guys? Sorry I've been busy and not updating the boxing thread as often as I'd like to, been very busy. In any case, with this mega fight right around the corner, I thought I'd share this video I made concerning the stylistic dynamics between Mayweather and Pacquiao, specifically their footwork in relation to southpaw-orthodox dynamics. Like I said in the other thread, the really big glaring weakness of Pacquiao and so many brawlers is their inability to incorporate lateral movements into their rhythm and to change their strategy once they see that they can't win via "brawling" (i.e the other guy is too fast or w/e).

Mayweather's weakness is his lack of punching power, but that isn't really something he can improve and its not so much a weakness since Mayweather isn't a KO type. Mayweather has superior stamina too and is a little bit faster. But even though he is only marginally faster, his movements are more elegant and better coordinated, so it will make a world of difference.

Pacquiao's only hope imo is that he properly learned how to cut off the ring and trap mayweather, get him in an exchange and hope to deal more damage. But so far its like 80-20 for Mayweather.

Lateral movement is Pacquiao's greatest strength. He uses angles like no other. He has plenty of flaws but I really find it odd that you mention this.

I am mad. No I am not mad at the fight. I am mad at "boxing" fans (i.e the people who see 1 boxing match a year) complaining and *****ing about how Mayweather "ran". These imbeciles just want to see a streetfight between two exes or w/e. Bunch of fucking morons. There are even people that claim Pacquiao won, LOL! As expected Pac couldn't do shit, just an average boxer with above average speed. Yes, lets instead of presenting anything resembling an argument laugh a how Mayweather can't read because he has dyslexia/grew up poor.

Mayweather had close to 2x the connection rate as Pacquiao, threw more punches (and thus landed a lot more), landed more power punches and generally speaking dominated the entire fight. He made Pacquiao look like an amateur. And off course now the Pac fans are crying about his "shoulder" and how that was the cause of his ridiculous performance. LOL! Funny because Pac threw right jabs the entire night, the fact that none of them hit their mark is another thing.

It wasn't even close. Saying he "ran" just shows you don't know what you are talking about. You'd have to be blind to claim Pacquiao was even CLOSE to winning. He lost every single round except the 4th, maybe. This isn't "analysis" they are just fight statistics.
