Dear comrades: Some people here said that they watch The Russia Today News TV channel 280 (On Dish Network) and rt.com (in the internet), for international news. But people here have to beware, because I think that Russia Today News is anti-communism, and most of their political analysts and economists are anti-communism. Watch this video of the Boom Bust economics show of Bryan Caplan (A hardcore anti-marxism, libertarian activist) a university professor laughing against Karl Marx, making fun of Marx, making peyorative comments against marx, and saying that marxism doesn't work. I bet that he is being payed in order to bash, trash marxism. And to tell people that communism doesn't work, and that the wonderful unregulated free markets is the solution for poverty
Here is the interview with the anti-marxism professor on RT where he will bash marxism and Karl Marx. His interview starts at 16:06

How does that make them any more anti-communist than CNN, Fox, ABC...etc.
If there are problems with RT, it's not simply that they aren't socialist.

Russia Today is kind of the Russian Fox News, isn't it? I mean, it tends to say the exact opposite of what American propaganda outlets say, so it gets some things right by virtue of the "broken clock" principle, but what more were you expecting from Putin's mouthpiece?

You know I used to watch the Russia Today News headlines and many of their shows on channel 280 of dish network, almost every night. But since I've been noticing lately, how many of their economists and political commentators who are libertarians like Max Keiser, Peter Lavalle, Peter Shiff and others have been doing an anti-communism propaganda lately, stronger than the anti-communism propaganda of Ronald Reagan, I've quit relying on Russia Today news for information. From now on i will only try to get my news from ultra-leftist revolutionary proletarian-oriented sources like socialistaction, marxist.com socialist alternative, wsws, workers.org (I know that many of the marxist and ultra-leftist news sources are not perfect, but they are a lot better than the libertarian Russia Today news)
And I've even quit relying and reading social-democrat alternative news sites like commondreams, counterpunch, alternet, and truthdig, those 4 social-democrat reformist news sources are too elitist for me, they are like for college leftists, for middle class leftists, for occupy protest leftists, for green party leftists, for pro-Ralph Nader leftists (Leftists who hate capitalism, but who love capitalism at the same time)
The best news websites should be the ones written by leftists who hate capitalism and leftists who love and advocate a dictatorship of the proletariat, workers' states, like The Paris Commune
The ultra-left should get economic resources in order to create powerful news websites and news sources, that would be able to compete with the social-democrat reformist news sources like Democracynow

To be fair, RT beats any US news channel, by miles. But yeah, it's not communist. Much wow, very amazing, so shocking.

Umm I might get some flak for this but I use Wikipedia for most of my (basic) international news. Its generally pretty accurate, articulates various viewpoints and follows through with stories that are generally not "front page" news because they are inconvenient for the capitalists, like say the civil war in Libya which has gone completely under the radar.

Most revolutionary left news simply do not have enough resources to be an independent news source; some have their individual agenda and will often distort the news as well

Used to, comrade; that was back when the likes of Boris Kagarlitsky were regulars on the channel. I don't think even Michael Hudson gets interviewed there much anymore.

Wikipedia is the best news source, hands down. You might also want to check out WikiNews.
