Hello!

I'm a young communist from Hungary who's been lurking around here for a long time. I've decided to start posting now (didn't really feel like getting involved much so far) and thus created this account for that purpose. My name reflects the fact that unfortunately there isn't much of a communist scene here so all I can do is be an "armchair revolutionary" for now, so to speak. Hope I'll learn a lot here (I already did while lurking, but you know...).

Welcome :)

If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!

If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.

Hello! I'm not a Stalinist and I don't have a particularly positive view of it - for all intents and purposes it worked like a left-wing capitalist state. I don't like the fact that it fell, because I'm also strongly anti-nationalist and prefer multiethnic states to monolithic nation states (I mean, if I have to choose between those two). I guess it had its benefits and drawbacks compared to Western European market-capitalist states, but it's certainly not a model for future communist societies as far as I'm concerned.

(I also like some of the socialist "cultural heritage" of the Warsaw Pact era (the songs and such), aside from the ones which just glorify Stalin or Rákosi, but that's just a silly romantic thing of mine.)
